About Danny

Danny’s registered name is derived from the lovely natural and beautiful area in the Great Alpine National Park.

Being the only black pup in a litter of eight he caught my eye immediately being so much like his sire. Along the way he has shown the same lovely character and ways of his sire, so desired in this breed. Always calm, quiet, friendly, and totally co-operative day in day out. He certainly loves a smooge and cuddle at every opportunity.

A dog of full breed height, Hips 1.1 = 2 and 0.0 Elbows. His Breed DNA Analysis Report reads: Full Clear/Normal/Negative for all Genetic Diseases & Traits. Danny
carries both black and yellow in his DNA. In working weight and condition, he sets the scales at 35 kilograms.

Danny is the complete athlete when moving, beautiful long stride, always totally
balanced. Working in water comes easily and naturally to him. A dog that fits the
scene as a tradesman, there and gets the job done and ever reliable.

Chops was in Jill’s last planned litter, unfortunately she never lived to see them
arrive.

Many people have asked how Chops got his pet name. In his litter there were four black males. I liked two of them, so I identified them by snipping a small area out of their coats on different parts of their bodies. The late John Stott said on seeing these chopped areas – ‘who chopped their coats?’, I owned up, and the pup I selected, what better name could you give him than CHOPS. No one forgets his name.
