About Zeus

Zeus lives two very different lifestyles. Weekdays he is a cool city dude enjoying walks to the shops, café, and time in the nearby dog park with the other local dogs, all of whom are his mates.

Weekends and holidays he is fully occupied being the retriever/working dog on a large sheep grazing property. Zeus is single focussed the moment his master pulls on his hunting boots. Hunting foxes is high on his list, that saves many lambs during lambing season, working rabbits, quail and duck are all part of his duties as a retriever. Over time Zues has developed a 5.30am body clock, the best time of the day for a walk. His owners think so as well.

Fetching tennis balls, cricket balls for the younger members of his family all comes easy for Zues.

In suburbia Zeus is an inside dog, on the farm he kennels alongside the sheep dogs, a very adaptable dog.

A dog of full breed height, Hips 2.4 = 6 and 0.0 Elbows. His Breed DNA Analysis Report reads: Carrier SD2, Full Clear/Normal/Negative for all other Genetic Diseases & Traits. Zeus carries both black and yellow in his DNA.
In working weight and condition, he sets the scales at 35 kilograms.

Big thankyou to Gavin & Catriona for allowing Zeus to remain a part of Kadnook.

Chops was in Jill’s last planned litter, unfortunately she never lived to see them
arrive.

Many people have asked how Chops got his pet name. In his litter there were four black males. I liked two of them, so I identified them by snipping a small area out of their coats on different parts of their bodies. The late John Stott said on seeing these chopped areas – ‘who chopped their coats?’, I owned up, and the pup I selected, what better name could you give him than CHOPS. No one forgets his name.
